The Picky Bookworm

"Books are a uniquely portable magic." –Stephen King

I love music. I especially love finding new songs that I can put on repeat and jam out to over and over and over. This may not be a particularly bookish post, but I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorite songs. New and old. Here we go!

Lola Montez by Volbeat

I’m not entirely sure what this song is about, and I’m even less sure of some of the lyrics. What I will say about this song is it has amazing rhythm, and the lead singer’s voice is to die for!

Leave out all the Rest by Linkin Park

Linkin Park has been a favorite band of mine for years. They’ve been around forever, and have so many good songs. I love songs I can sing along with, and this definitely fits the bill!

Sound of Silence by Disturbed

I don’t usually associate Disturbed with actual singing, but this cover of a Simon & Garfunkel song is AH-MAY-ZING! I couldn’t ever call my mom a heavy metal fan, but she loves this song as much as I do!

Sorry not Sorry by Demi Lovato

I read about this song in Rachel Hollis’s book “Girl, Stop Apologizing” and fell in love almost immediately!

Disclaimer: This song has explicit lyrics.

Shatter Me with Lindsey Stirling (Lzzy Hale lyrics)

I don’t remember when I found this song on youtube, but it’s so beautiful! Lindsey’s violin is amazing, and Lzzy’s lyrics fit the music perfectly!
