The Picky Bookworm

"Books are a uniquely portable magic." –Stephen King

This movie is the reason I enjoy going to the theater by myself. I had never gone before, believing instead that the movies are a group activity, best enjoyed with multiple friends and family members. While this is mostly true, going by myself showed me that I can enjoy a movie just as much by myself as I can with friends and family.

Picture this: I walk in the theater, I get my own snacks (no popcorn for me, sorry. I’m a nachos girl. Extra cheese), and I find the theater. Now, with a group of people, the hunt is on for seats together, seats where everyone can see, and seats that aren’t causing anyone any trouble. Since I’m by myself, I don’t have to worry about any of that. I don’t have to consider anyone’s opinion but my own on where to sit.

Now that I’ve found my seat, I’ve situated myself, and I’ve ignored all the looks that say “omg, that girl is here by herself. what’s wrong?” it’s time to start the movie. Two of my favorite actors, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are starring in this movie, so I’m already sold, but even I had no idea how much fun this movie would be.

Jane & John Smith have been married for 5 or 6 years. They met in Bogota, Columbia, during a hectic time in the country’s history. 6 weeks later, they’re engaged. Life goes really great, if maybe a little boring, until they discover something about the other than changes everything.

Little do either of them know, they are assassins for competing agencies, and those agencies don’t like it. They set each of them on the same assignment, hoping they will target each other. Most of the movie is the fights and action sequences that fit with this type of movie, but both Angelina and Brad do such a good job that even though this movie is a little predictable, the excitement is real.

This movie is so fun, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! If you liked my discussion of this movie, please share with your friends! And don’t forget to subscribe, so you never miss an update!
