Dianna Gunn

Dianna Gunn joins me on the podcast today to chat about all sorts of things! I stumped her with the question “What’s the worst writing advice you’ve ever gotten?” but her answer was absolutely amazing anyway. We discuss our love for indie books, and how important it is to consume quality content.

Dianna is the founder of Weeknight Writers, a social enterprise that offers support and educational resources for authors. They offer monthly Twitter chats, and regular virtual panels where authors can learn about things such as writing horror, or realistic dialogue.

Dianna and I also collaborate on a yearly event called Author Secret Santa, where authors can sign up, and instead of buying gifts, they purchase each other’s books for read and review. It’s a super fun way to support authors and gives authors an opportunity to support each other.

I sincerely enjoyed having Dianna on the podcast! We discussed bad writing advice, why it’s important to consume quality content similar to what you’ll be putting out in the world, and the fact that we both hate Napoleon Dynamite. Listen below or click the link to read the transcript!
